The majority of voters went for the intense post-surgery fight/kiss scene (though Van’s performance in that scene could make it a bit of a risky choice). Second place went to the Babbling kiss scene (a great LuRe episode, though for me, not as “wow” as an Emmy reel), with Eric’s stated choice (per his interview on Michael Fairman’s Soap Opera Spirit Awards podcast) of the elevator scene a close third. The 8/9 episode probably got shafted by its poor description when i posted the poll (sorry, my bad), as it also is the episode featuring the “couch scene” before Luke tells Reid not to dress like a “stuck-up brain surgeon.”
Emmy voting concludes this week, with the top five vote-getters receiving nominations (to be announced on May 11th). Keep your fingers crossed!
