Okay, I know this blog has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this post, but I know a lot of LuRe fans are also Glee fans and this email just landed in my in box this morning:

RED SOX FANS: YOU or someone you love can be on the most popular show on TV, Glee! But you have to act fast…

Thanks to the creators of the hit TV show, the Red Sox Foundation is auctioning off a walk-on role in Glee! The package includes filming on set in California and lunch with the dynamic co-creator/executive producer Brad Falchuk. You’ll also meet and get autographs from the award winning Glee cast! This package does not include airfare and hotel accommodations in Los Angeles. Date to be determined upon the availability of production schedule for the 2011-2012 season.

IT’S A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME CHANCE TO BE PART OF A BROADCAST SENSATION. Proceeds benefit the Red Sox Foundation, so a portion of your winning bid will be tax deductible. You will also be helping us to fulfill college dreams for young, academically talented low-income kids in the Foundation’s Red Sox Scholars Program.

For this one and only auction item, the online bidding will end at 12 p.m. (noon) ET on Saturday, July 23. The top three valid online bidders will be invited to participate in the final round of bidding at the Picnic in the Park event on Sunday, July 24 after the Seattle vs. Red Sox game at Fenway Park. BUT YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN! If you wish, a Red Sox Foundation staffer will arrange to call you during the live auction and will bid by proxy for you during the final live round of the auction.

Reid notices Dusty is faking his slow recovery after brain surgery. Luke tries to talk Mr. Judd into dropping the law suit and Reid is “impressed” by the gesture.

Reid plays his role to the T and gets Bob to Tom’s under false pretenses (they need to talk about his malpractice suit). But Kim thinks Bob is again choosing work over her (and their lunch together) and no-shows. Once Barbara finally convinces Kim to show up for the anniversary party, Tom and Margo find out that their surprise has a glitch – the minister who married Bob and Kim (who was supposed to help them renew their vows at the party) was a sham and so they were never actually married.

Reid tells Bob he’s being sued for malpractice and Bob stands up for him. Bob sows the seeds with Kim that he’s thinking of Reid as his replacement. Katie and Chris talk Reid into helping to get Bob to the surprise 25th Anniversary Party for Bob and Kim being held at Tom and Margo’s.

‘The Elevator Scene.’ Luke drags Reid to a meeting with the architect and they end up stuck in the Lakeview elevator. After another push, they bond briefly before Reid’s pager goes off and they’re freed. Reid returns to Memorial to operate on Dusty. Luke and Reid share a flirty moment after surgery before Reid is served papers informing him Mr. Judd is suing him for malpractice.
