Luke: You never said anything to Noah or me.
Reid: Why WOULD I?
Luke: Because it could have helped.
Reid: What, so that we could share the secret handshake?

‘I Hate My Teenage Daughter pilot filming, 31 March 2011 | Mostly fangirling for Eric Sheffer Stevens…plus recaps :)

Hi everyone! There are several fans who have been active in the Luke/Reid/Van/Eric fandom who were lucky enough to attend yesterday’s filming of the pilot for FOX’s new sitcom, I Hate My Teenage Daughter. I’ve seen a few fan forum postings, and am trying to secure permission to republish them here as they are not all in publically available forums.

So, I’m very excited to point out links to two external posts: triciamc’s post at livejournal, and the first part of Kate Davies’s comprehensive post.

Plus I am reposting an expanded version of one from the ESS forum after the jump. Warning spoilers and fangirling likely!

Enjoy!

In the meantime, this graphic has been making the rounds in the fandom:

Van Hansis on PSYCH | A Dogberry connection, pineapples, spoilers, shooting locations, where to watch, and more

Van’s been busy on Facebook the last several days with a couple of posts nearly daily, including responses to non-PSYCH related questions. (Maybe he got sick of answering “how’s it going?” and “when’s Occupant coming out?”) including a reply to a fan’s question earlier this week about “What was your favorite ATWT scene?” (Note: the Elevator scene makes the cut!)

Among other things we now know, shooting for the episode began on Friday, March 25th, in Vancouver, BC, Canada. More from Van on Facebook, episode spoilers, what’s the deal with the pineapples. a connection between this episode of PSYCH and Dogberry, why this looks like it will be a REALLY good episode, where to watch live online (and where NOT to watch), and where to find info on shooting locations after the jump…

Van Hansis lands guest spot on USA Network’s PSYCH

Okay, I seem to be the last one to the party on this one, too. That’s what happens when you go 24 hours without checking in with the greater fandom. 🙂

At any rate, earlier this evening (which I think would be lunchtime LA time),Van confirmed on his Facebook that he’s booked a guest spot on the USA Network show, PSYCH. Judging by the fact that he calls it “pretty awesome,” I’m hoping this means we get more than a wave and a smile.

Facebook, and Twitter

Though Van’s episode air date is yet to be confirmed, here is a tip posted on the Van Hansis Mutual Admiration Society Facebook,

If you go to your profile and add PSYCH to your favorite tv shows, you will get notified from them when they announce Van on the show. I just got one today for a different guest star like 5 minutes before Van posted.

I think it also works if you just go to the PSYCH Facebook page and Like it.

It also looks like they may promote guest stars on their Twitter account. They finished fifth in Shortys balloting in the television category, just ahead of Sesame Street, with a second entry placing 10th for the Psych Writer’s Room Twitter feed.

Who knew Sesame Street had a Twitter account? Who subscribes to their tweets? Just took a look and the tweets are all “character-driven.” A sampling:

Bert: My pigeon Bernice loves when I read her nursery rhymes by Mother Goose. So does Ernie’s rubber duckie. Must be a bird thing.

Cookie Monster: Gingerbread cookie is center of great debate. Is it cookie, or is it cake? Oh, who cares – it delicious either way!!!

Big Bird: My favorite color is yellow (naturally!). What’s yours?

Cookie Monster: Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy! Me cannot wait to find new cookie recipe online! (Waiting not exactly me area of expertise!)

This is like G-rated crack! And, BTW, Cookie, it’s definitely a cookie. Gingerbread might be a cake, but a gingerbread cookie is definitely a cookie! At least in my opinion FWIW. YMMV.

More on what is PSYCH and when it airs after the jump….

Preview: Body of Proof

As early as October 2010, We Love Soaps reported that Eric Sheffer Stevens had taped an episode of Dana Delaney’s new series, Body of Proof. It occurred to me that I haven’t done a post on this yet, so here is the background.

The series is set to premiere a week from today, Tuesday 29th March on ABC at 10pm ET/9pm CT and according to IMDb, Eric’s episode (#8 Broken Home) should air on May 10th or 17th (it should be clear by early April).

In this post:

  • Cast overview
  • Premiere date and timeslot history
  • Eric’s guest appearance
  • Foreign premiere dates (the US is actually behind several European countries!)
  • Hello, Rhode Island
  • Trailer and sneak peek
