Okay – it’s been a MUCH longer hiatus than I expected. In fact, it was so long for me, even, that I had to reread the whole thing myself to remember what I’d already covered! Between RL, travel, and the blog, it’s been hard to set aside pockets of more than 15 minutes to work on this. So thank you, everyone, for your patience.
But the latest chapter is now up – and it’s a long one, FWIW – unfortunately, I just couldn’t find a good place to break it. Hopefully it will have been worth the wait?
Partial disclosure: this was a really hard chapter for me to write (especially hard to keep the voice of my Luke in my head while watching the developments over the last couple of weeks). But the next several are ones that write themselves, so now it’s playtime for me!

UPDATE: 2.51pm EDT, 3 August 2010. I am thrilled to report that after an interminable drought (2 months, 3 days, 49 minutes, some unknown number of seconds, to be exact, but who’s counting?), I was able to reset the kiss clock this afternoon. The consummation clock is coming up on three long months and still ticking, but at least we have a new kiss to cheer about. May many more be coming. Soon.

I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this, but LuRe fans are getting antsy (at LRO, the Kissing thread just keeps getting longer and longer), and references to the wait (for them and us) are everywhere you look in LuRe fandom: it was time. Finally! I’m here. And watching. Not easy. BRB.
I am staying with my newly moved, retired parents. They’ve been in their house now for almost 2 weeks and they still have no phone and no internet service! Arghhh! So it took awhile to ditch the kids and get to the library where I am enjoying air conditioning and the livestream.
So, so far, catching up on other live threads, I can tell I missed a doozy of a scene. Described on LRO as Reid being exhausted after a long surgery; Luke asking Reid to the wedding and Reid saying something about a shower (widespread interpretation about the participants in said shower!)….
