The season finale of Body of Proof is scheduled to air this coming Tuesday, 17th May, at 10pm Eastern Time. This episode of the Dana Delaney procedural guest stars Eric Sheffer Stevens and Jill Eikenberry.

For those of you outside the US, or away from a television at time of broadcast, be watched on live-stream on WFTS-TV, the Tampa Bay ABC affiliate via stream2watch.com. I’ve popped on a few times during the day today and what’s showing matches their TV listings, and their listings show Body of Proof on Tuesday.

ETA, 15 May, 2.20pm GMT: I just tried the above link and it didn’t work, so here is an alternative URL for the same site (it’s Stream 1). Thanks to LRO, here’s a second livestream link, using TVPC also for the East (looks like the same channel).

After the episode airs, if you want to watch it, within the US, you should be able to watch it on the ABC site or via Hulu or Xfinity. You can also purchase the episode Amazon ($0.99, HD available) and from iTunes ($2.99, also available in HD, but I think you can download it).  I think ABC have an agreement where the last 5-6 episodes are available for free on the various sites, but the older ones are only available for purchase.

For those of us outside the US, there do appear to be several YouTube channels that posted last week’s episode (Buried Secrets, Body of Proof 1×08) within 24 hours of airing. However, those channels (not surprisingly) have been terminated due “multiple or severe violations of [YouTube’s] community guidelines.” However, even though those users have been deleted, the videos are still available.

I’ll have another look on Wednesday morning to see if I can find a link to post.

Okay, I guess a pilot pick-up AND an Emmy nomination in 24 hours would have been just too good to be true. 🙁

Contrary to pre-announcement buzz, Eric Sheffer Stevens did not end up picking up a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Nor did ATWT get a nod for best drama. In fact, ATWT only picked up four nominations overall (compared to 14 for B&B!). So, the highlights:

• ATWT replacement, The Talk receives one nomination (for Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling)
• Martha Byrne’s Gotham the Series gets a nomination for best short-form (web series)
• Colleen Zenk gets a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress (yay, Babs!)
• Michael Park gets a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor (woo hoo, Michael!)
• And….Julie Pinson gets the third acting nom for Outstanding Supporting Actress (no comment)
• ATWT’s fourth and final nomination is for (drum roll, please)….Best Writing – for the Our Town finale episode
• No surprise – the budget-poor ATWT is shut out of all non-acting categories like set design and hair and makeup (which, now that I’ve seen how gorgeous Marnie Schulenberg is in person, I completely believe they should be!)
• And, though this has nothing to do with Luke or Reid, I love the fact that all four nominees for Outstanding Performer In A Children’s Series are Sesame Street muppeteers!
• Also, Disney Channel’s animated Tasty Time with Zefronk gets a nomination for best Short-Format, even though Michael O’Leary was told that Steamboat the Series didn’t qualify because it was a “comedy” not a “soap” (see @SteamboatSeries on Twitter, scroll to March 14th. Maybe I have my categories mixed up (but it’s the only mention of Gotham and Venice the Series), but if not, WTF?

The Best Supporting Actor nominees are:

• Jonathan Jackson, as Lucky Spencer, General Hospital ABC
• Jason Thompson, as Patrick Drake, General Hospital ABC
• Brian Kerwin, as Charlie Banks, One Life To Live ABC
• Doug Davidson, as Paul Williams, The Young and the Restless CBS
• Billy Miller, as Billy Abbott, The Young and the Restless CBS

Last, Michele Vice-Maslin, who co-wrote “What If I’m Wrong,” with performer Ehren Ebbage received a nomination (along with collaborators Chuck Wild and Dorian Cheah) for best original song (Starr X’d Lovers on OLTL), a song I used in an early LuRe music vid.

Definitely some choices that make you go “hmmmm….” in the bunch (mostly from great actors who didn’t have a lot of screentime this year – though again, given the way the process is set up, all they need is ONE good episode). The full drama listings after the jump….

Fox is the first network to reveal its series orders for the comedies I Hate My Teenage Daughter and The New Girl and dramas Finder and Alcatraz.

In Teenage Daughter, two women (Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran) fret that their daughters are turning into the type of girls who picked on them in high school. Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer will executive-produce. Eric Sheffer Stevens, Kristi Lauren, Aisha Dee, Kevin Rahm and Chad Coleman will also star.

It seems like Eric is consistently getting third billing these days, which is pretty awesome!

Emmy nominees due to be announced in 10 hours. Looks like this could be a HUGE day for Eric Sheffer Stevens. Woo hoo!

Not much has been written since the pre-noms were announced for the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. But official nominees are due to be announced this Wednesday, May 11th, and based on the Daytime Emmy’s home page, all is proceeding according to schedule.

A few people have gone out on a limb to make their predictions, with Nelson Branco being the most prominent (and offering his list in today’s SoapGeist). And so far it’s almost unanimous – nearly everybody has Eric on their list!
